Marco Bona, senior partner at MB.O law firm in Turin, Italy, and member of Legal Abroad, attended the 4th International Class Action Conference (ICAC) 2022 last week at the Campus of the University of Amsterdam, organised by the University of Amsterdam (The Netherlands), University of Haifa (Israel) and Tilburg University (The Netherlands) together in collaboration with several renowned institutions, including BIICL (United Kingdom) and Dauphine Paris University (France).

 

The theme of this year’s conference was ‘From Class Actions to Collective Redress: Access to Justice in the 21st century’.

 

Marco spoke about class actions, Directive (EU) 2020/1828 and artificial intelligence in Product Liability litigation together with panelists Duncan Fairgrieve, David Kidman, Sylvie Gallage-Alwis and Antoinette Collignon from UK, France and The Netherlands.

 

Marco is involved on behalf of a large number of Italian consumers in a cross-border collective redress action against VW pending in Germany for the damages caused by the “dieselgate” scandal.
